Large molecules and inherent elasticity makes surface polishing of plastics a difficult proposition. Too much force causes surface deflection or harder crystallites and non reactive monomers to rip out, creating undesirable results. Too little force and the inherent lubricity of most plastics will show no surface change at all. The unique short lap scratch pattern and total immersion of the work piece created, has found engineering solutions to totally support its shape and structure while gently improving the surface in a conservative production time.
